Where were you born? I was born in St. Louis, Missouri

What is your middle name? Lynn

Do you have any siblings? I have 1 sister

How do you unwind on the weekends? I love to just spend time with my family. We go on walks, play games, & relax!

Do you have any pets? Nope! I used to have 2 pugs!

What is your favorite city you have ever traveled to and why? Maui, Hawaii because it’s warm, relaxing, and I love the beach!

If you could choose any profession other than teaching, what would it be? I would be a cupcake baker!

Which grade were you in when you had your most memorable teacher? 3rd. Mrs. Soughers! What made him/her memorable? She is the reason I became a teacher. She was kind, caring, and always made me feel like I was special.

What is your “go to” song when you’re feeling down?   Anything Justin Timberlake

What has been your most proud moment as a teacher? My proudest moment was last year when my class made cancer bags for kids. It was their idea, they brought in all the gifts and we decorated bags to give to kids who have cancer at Dornbechers. Truly magical!

What is your favorite sports team? Oregon Ducks Football & Portland Trailblazer

What is your favorite holiday? What are your favorite things to do on that holiday? I love Christmas especially having a toddler who gets it. We make cookies, go to Zoo Lights, the Nutcracker, all things holiday!

What’s the funniest thing one of your students said to you yesterday?  Oh gosh, everyday they say something funny! Probably the most recent was that I look funny in glasses.  🙂

If you could take your students on a field trip anywhere in the world, where would you take them? I would take them to Disneyland.  It’s the happiest place on Earth!

What would your students be surprised to learn about you?   I have lived in 7 states and have been to 40 states! I also hate to fly!

What’s your favorite thing about teaching?   My favorite thing about teaching is seeing the “ah ha” moments they have. I also love getting anything homemade from the kids.
