Mrs. Lambert – 1st Grade Teacher

Where were you born? Granada Hills, California

What is your middle name? Catherine

Do you have any siblings? 2 brothers and 2 sisters

How do you unwind on the weekends?   Hiking/running and spending time with family and friends.

Do you have any pets?   A black lab named Walter

Have you ever met anyone famous? My cousin Joe Mantegna and William Dafoe came over for Easter dinner when they were filming a movie in Portland.

If you could choose any profession other than teaching, what would it be? Definitely something that would allow me to travel the world.

Which grade were you in when you had your most memorable teacher?   1st grade, Mrs Andrews What made him/her memorable?  I was extremely shy in 1st grade, and she was always so kind, and made me feel comfortable.

What is your “go to” Karaoke song? I’ve only sang Karaoke once with a group of friends, I’m sure it was a Bon Jovi song.

What was your favorite board game as a kid? Uncle Wiggly

What app can you not live without and why?   Fitbit, I like to track my exercise and sleep.

Do you or have you ever played a musical instrument? Guitar, clarinet, and drums, none of them worked out. 🙂

What’s the funniest thing one of your students said to you yesterday?   “The boys in here are just like puppies, they don’t listen”

What would your students be surprised to learn about you?   I caught a 50 pound fish, that took me an hour to reel it in the boat.  Exhausting!

What did you want to be when you grew up?   Teacher

What’s your favorite thing about teaching?  I love getting to know my students, and finding out what their  interests are, so I can make personal connections with each one of them.
