Welcome Parents
Volunteering at Alberta Rider Elementary school can be a deeply rewarding experience!
Here are five great reasons to get involved:
-
Make a Positive Impact on Children’s Lives – Your time and support can shape young minds, boost their confidence, and create lasting memories. A little encouragement goes a long way!
-
Support Teachers & Staff – Educators work hard, and your help—whether assisting in the classroom, organizing activities, or preparing materials—makes their job easier and more effective.
-
Learn & Grow Personally – Interacting with kids teaches patience, creativity, and adaptability. Plus, you might pick up new skills like storytelling, conflict resolution, or even a fresh perspective on learning!
-
Strengthen Community Ties – Volunteering brings people together. You’ll connect with parents, teachers, and students, fostering a sense of belonging and teamwork in your local community.
-
Inspire the Next Generation – Children look up to volunteers as role models. By sharing your time and knowledge, you encourage curiosity, kindness, and a love for learning.
Alberta Rider considers volunteers to be a vital part of our educational program. We appreciate your hard work, talents, and commitment to our school.
Volunteers will work under the direction and supervision of a teacher, administrator or school staff member to provide assistance to students, work on committees, participate in enrichment programs, or assist in school projects such as fundraising and special events. No one will be rejected on the basis of age, color, creed, disability, marital status, national origin, race, religion, sex or sexual orientation. Please follow the first two steps listed below.
If you're new to our school or district, or if you haven't completed background check, please follow the steps below to get started. All parents and grandparents must have a check finished before they can volunteer at the school. Once you've completed it, you'll be added to our volunteer list and will receive emails about volunteer opportunities.
Many hands make light work!
