Enriching Education Through Parent Support
Our Mission & Approach
At Alberta Rider Elementary School Parent Support Organization, we are dedicated to enhancing the educational experience for our students. We believe in fostering a supportive community that empowers both students and teachers to thrive.
What does the PSO do?
If you haven't been able to attend a PSO meeting, you may not know all ways the PSO supports ARE. By having a student at Alberta Rider, you are a member of the PSO. This year, our PSO has delivered the following:
-
Every grade and every student received paid assistants for small, individualized reading groups
-
Every grade and every student received a curriculum based field trip with paid transportation
-
All classrooms received a budget for classroom materials
-
4 free community events throughout the year: Trunk-or-treat, Movie Night, Gingerbread decorating, Game Night
-
5th grade fun day and graduation celebration
-
5th grade Biz Town field trip & curriculum
-
Two book fairs with books for every child & funds going back to our library
-
Teacher and staff appreciation in May and throughout the year
Our 3 major fundraisers were huge successes to be able to fund all these great events.
